Volunteer Click for Volunteer Application
The department is always looking for dedicated individuals who can give their time to volunteer as a firefighter, EMT or both. Volunteer applicants must be 17 years old and submit a written application. Applicants/members must live within 3 travel miles of the fire department's response area. Applicant must attend 6 consecutive fire drills and be approved by department officers. All necessary equipment and training are provided. Fire training is conducted on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm. Rescue/EMS training is held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm. Stop by the central station and pick up an application.
Part Time Click for Employment Application
Part-time personnel must be TCFP-certified in Basic Structural Fire Suppression or higher and TDSHS-certified as Emergency Medical Technician-Basic or higher. Most part-time shifts are on weekends and at night, but weekday shifts are also available. Most shifts are 12 hours in length. Submit applications by fax or e-mail. Part-time positions are not usually advertised. Contact Chief Zipp at the station if you are interested in a part-time position.
Full Time Click for Employment Application
Full-time personnel must be TCFP-certified in Basic Structural Fire Suppression or higher and TDSHS-certified as Emergency Medical Technician-Basic or higher. Full time employment benefits include leave accrual, 401(k) retirement matching, and Blue Cross-Blue Shield Medical coverage. Full-time position openings will be advertised on the Home Web page and through TCFP.
